1° PRECISION SMART SENSOR

VELOCOMPUTER ^TM SMART SENSOR is designed for precision. It measures distance in 1cm ( ~ 3/8" ) increments as well as slope grade and G-forces with a built-in 3-axis accelerometer. The sensor attaches to a front fork and transmits precise motion data via bluetooth to a mobile app on a smart phone. The application calculates spot speed and propulsion power within 1 second latency.

HOW IT WORKS

Like a compass!

Unlike traditional cycling sensors, which count a full 360° of wheel revolution, this patent-pending technology measures the magnetic field from wheel magnets. As the wheel rotates the magnetic field from the magnets trigers the sensor, as little as 1° of rotation is enough to detect the wheel motion. This is equal to 1cm ( ~ 3/8" ) distance on a standard 700C wheel, this precision allows the cyclist to precisely calibrate the wheel diameter. All data is wirelessly transmitted to a smart phone via classic bluetooth.
